Egyptian Journal of Archaeological and Restoration Studies (EJARS), and its Publisher, Sohag Univ. Publication Center (SUPC) In (SUPC) journals, we maintain high quality standards through a very strict peer-review process. This process is made sure by strict ethical policies and professional codes. The editorial office selects some experts from the different fields of the submitted paper, who have original and innovative contributions in their fields. Through this process we can select the best papers for publishing. Taking into our consideration the violation of these professional guide lines. All the submitted papers must be original and are not being considered in other journals.

Fair play and editorial independence:

Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit (originality, importance, validity, clarity and relevancy to the journal’s scope) without regard to the authors’ citizenship, religious & belief, gender, ethnic origin or institutional affiliation Only, the decisions of editing and publishing of the articles are determined by the journal itself not by any policies of governments or any other agencies. The Journal Editor-in-Chief has full authority over the entire editorial content of the journal and the timing of publication of that content.


Editor-in-Chief, editors and editorial staff will not disclose any information about submitted articles to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher.

Conflict of Interest :

Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and state all funding sources that have supported the work. Editors and editorial board members will not use unpublished information disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research purposes without the authors’ explicit written consent.

Publication decisions:

The editors ensure that all submitted manuscripts being considered for publication undergo peer-review by at least two blind reviewers who are expert in the field the evaluated articles. The publication decision is a responsibility of Editor-in-Chief depending on some specific criteria that includes; Suitability for journal, Originality of the topic, Reviewers’ comments Technical quality, Importance in its field, Style & overall representation and Overall rated of the article (1:10).

Plagiarism & Data fabrication:

All the submitted articles will be screened for plagiarism using the latest available specialized programs to make sure that it contains original materials and it haven’t contains any such material copied from other scientific source. So, our authors should ensure that they have written and submit only entirely original and/or appropriately cited works. In addition, our system try to make it sure that all data and experiments are not fabricated. So, if it was found these articles are seriously rejected without imposing any further sanctions.

Duplicate Submission:

The editorial office makes sure that all submitted articles are not being published elsewhere or it is in the process of review elsewhere. If it was found, strict action against the authors of these articles is taken and their articles are withdrawn immediately from the journal systems.

Author Contribution & Authorship of the manuscript:

In our journals, we make ask the authors to explain the percentage of their contributions in the submitted articles. Only persons who meet these authorship criteria should be listed as authors in the article as they must be able to take public responsibility for the content. This responsibility that give them the opportunities to (1) design, execution, acquisition, and/or analysis/interpretation of the data (2) drafted and/or critically revised the manuscript content (3) have seen and approved the final version of the article for publication. The corresponding author should ensure that no inappropriate coauthors are included in the author list and verify that all coauthors have seen, approved and agreed to submit the final version of the article for publication. Furthermore, the corresponding author should ensure that all persons who made substantial contributions to the work reported in the manuscript such as (technical help, writing and language editing) must be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgements section” .

Peer review:

Our authors are obliged to fully cooperate in the review process by responding promptly to editors’ requests for raw data, clarifications, and proof of ethics approval, patient consents and copyright permissions. In addition, they should respond to the reviewers’ comments point by point in a suitable time, revising and re-submitting their manuscript to the journal by the deadline given.

Copyright & Citation Manipulation:

As an author, you retain rights for large number of author uses, including use by your employing institute or company. These rights are retained and permitted without the need to obtain specific permission from the journal and/or editor. These include the right to: (1) read, download, copy, print, search or link to full texts of the articles (2) present the journal article at a meeting or conference (3) include the journal article, in full or in part, in Master and/or PhD thesis. The journal editorial office not encourages the author to cite the papers for the sake of increasing the citation within the submission time for avoiding the reject of the article.


Article Publication Charge (APC) will be applied according to the articles fees’ types available on the journal website.
